Default Clingy Baby....

Ok, so Ava is 13 weeks old now and was bf for 8 weeks and still is, morning and night. Problem is, she cries with everyone apart from me, even OH! When i say cry i mean, full on screaming, wailing etc and this can go on for an hour until she falls asleep!!! How do i break this, will it change?!? HELP i can't have a break cos she freaks out so much and then i have to spend the next hour calming her down!
Thanks

Jessimae was the same, nowt helped but as she got older she was better if i wasnt around at all and left her with some one... would scream but did calm down. She just got better as she got older! she still is shy and wary of new people but is so much better than she was LOL xx

I would just dump and leave... least you dont hear the screaming x

Sophie was and still is clingy to me I put it down to the breastfeeding as Jess wasn't like this. She sometimes follows me round like my little shadow crying but I need to get on and do things. She crys with hubby but is getting better. I just have to ignore her now I know it sounds awful but after a few 5mins she is ok.

If I go out she cries but once she realises she calms down and is fine for daddy/nanny etc, hugs lovely hope things get better xx

Aww hugs to you hon, it's so hard! Ruby went through a stage like this where she would not settle with anyone except me! I put it down to the simple fact that it is me she is with most of the time.
Thankfully it has passed now but at times it is still only me who can settle her to sleep during the day etc.

My boy is a complete daddies boy so I quite like it, lol! but it is heartbreaking hearing them cry! x

Hugs. Harry is like this and very rarely settles for anyone other than me. I think they just like the smell of us so it's comforting to them. Don't forget that she could be going through the fussy four months a bit early - Harry certainly is! x

Sometimes you just have to let them cry! Or try spending time with her with other people but have them hold her etc while she can see that you're still tottering about. Other ideas for the LO to get comfortable around other people is for them to keep the LO distracted by playing games and keeping them occupied while you leave the room and leave them to it. Sometimes if the LO wakes up from a nap and your not there - allowing other people to look after them can help as they're always in a better mood after a good nap. Getting other people to feed them too - so the LO knows this person is here to look after her!

Hope this helps!
