5 year old's

i have a couple of questions about what your five year old can and can't do

can they??
put on their socks
wipe their bums
zip up a coats

finley can't seem to do any off them

As hard as it is try not to compare

Ruby can do all of those - however, she does struggle with other things such as buttons, laces etc

Georgia has just last week done her own zip up but only once
Can do her socks but not tights
She can't wipe her bum

We can not do bum wiping well, if she wipes her bum she ends up sore as she doesnt do it properly

Zips and socks are ok most of the time x

Evan is a bit lazy when it comes to things like this. He can do it himself although he whinges and whines that he cant so we do it for him

Evan can do his socks although he does tend to get them a bit muddled sometimes so most of the time I just end up doing it for him.

His bum is a bit hit and miss. OH makes Evan do it himself and then checks hes done it right, I on the other hand just do it because otherwise Evan whines and says he cant. But then saying that, the other day Evan came home from school and his pants were in a bit of a mess where he hadnt wiped properly.

He has only just learnt to do his coat up. We now tell him to do it himself although most of the time I end up doing it because he takes too long

Olivia can wipe her bum most of the time, she can do her coat and her socks when she wants too socks are mostly luck if she does them, as more often than not she ends up with the heel bit on the top of her foot! Im a bit soft and end up doing them for her usually, mornings are usually a rush to get out the door and also it beats listening to her whine for me to do it!

Nate has just managed to figure out socks but bum wiping is very hit and miss, most times I end up doing.
He still has trouble with zips and buttons so I mostly do that for him

Please dont worry about Fin, everyone develops hand eye co-ordination at a different rate x x x x

Both my girls can do all of that , Willow sometimes needs help with the coat zip, but they wipe their own bottoms, and always do a good job

But like everyone has said, don't worry Hun, he will get there xxx

Oliver can do those things but as the others have said they get there at their own speed hun so don't worry. x

i am not worried it just drive me mad some times as he just gives up with out even really trying to do them

oh will even get him dressed some days i just think finley is lazy
