I put Mia in pull ups when we went out but made a big deal out of them being big girl pants not a nappy & would just check all the time with her when out if she needed to pee but if she did have an accident it was no biggy xx

I personally don't see the point in pull ups, theyre still a nappy and its ok to pee in them so why not stick with nappies? Thought pull ups were confusing so went straight to pants with my 2, and like RM take potty in car and spare clothes-I've actually had to take the potty in the basket of the pram through town quite a few times cause Imogen couldn't pee on big toilets! Huge igglepiggle potty hanging out the back of my pram is an eyecatcher!
Imogen toilet trained in one day, but 6 months on Dylan still has odd accidents around the house (not when were out now I think about it!) and doesn't understand no2s totally freaks out when he needs to go, won't sit on the potty long enough to actually go.
anyway, I say straight to pants and prepare for mess! i keep lots of muslins, vanish carpet and kitchen roll handy! Now teaching boys how to aim, whole other problem!!!

Oh yeah I did that too, bought a cheap potty from poundshop & took it everywhere & a folded towel for mia to sit on in the car in case of accidents which thankfully she never had in the car
