Default Coats for nursery question

Do you buy your lo a coat for nursery then a separate one for other times? I am trying to decide what to do as we got Oliver a coat but it was quite expensive so i am in 2 minds whether to get him a cheaper one from the high street for nursery. Thanks for any advice. x

We just have one, but then its only a mini mode one so wasn't massively expensive, if you would be upset if it got lost or damaged i would invest in a new one for nursery just to be safe

We started off with one but that was buttoned and nursery wanted a zip one so it was quick and easy for them to put on her. So ended up buying a cheaper second one just for nursery.

Isabella has a variety of different coats to match different outfits/weather.

I like coats, it might be an addiction but she has 7 I think . I can't justify buying a cheap one for nursery when she has so many already...

Provided it's machine washable I'm sure it will be fine although I don't think one coat is enough

Just in case you need to find a school specific coat...

Isabella has last A/W girl's version of this which is v.v.warm and has the softest fleece lining.

Also she has last year's version of this and it's slightly lighter, still a 'warm' coat but very quick to wash/dry.

I do find mini Boden coats very hard wearing, she had those two all of last winter and they got worn/washed a lot and both still look new. All of her outgrown Boden looks so nice and new, I have been very impressed. I do have a Boden £10 off when you spend £30 code which I like to put to good use

Evan had one for school and one for other times last year, but only because when he started nursery he didnt have anything and I was a bit desperate so I brought a cheap one for school that I didnt really like the look of. Then a while later I fell in love with a coat in next so got him that and just used that one for best. Will only be getting 1 though this year. Oooh better look at getting one soon really. Hes only got his light jackets at the moment and I doubt last years coat will still fit him.

We have a few different coats / jackets but with the winters here being so bitterly cold I wanted him to have at least one that was a really warm one. A few coats that he has to go with outfits are 'bomber' style so hit at the waist and i wouldn't really call them a proper winter coat.

I find Boden good quality too. One of his coats from last year is a brown / blue fleecy lined Boden one so i was thinking i may just get him another one of those. I had looked in John Lewis when we were back home but their boys coats were appaling. Black or really dark grey and very plain. Might as well have been old mens coats!
