I took some from a herbal shop. They were made by nelsons and the lady called the company to double check they were safe for a bfing mummy. They didn't really work for me but they could be worth a try. Hugs. Hayfever sucks. x

You can get nose sprays and allergy eye drops too. I used to use the eye drops alot cos I always had itchy, watery eyes but I dont suffer with it so much anymore. My mum has been using the nose spray recently too but dont know how good it is. Might be worth a try xxx

I was going to say eye drops and nasal spray too. Also, someone recently told me to put vaseline just inside the nostril as it traps the pollen. I've been doing this and it does actually help! Hope you find something that works for you, there's nothing more annoying than hayfever! Xxx

While breastfeeding, it is best to treat the individual symptoms of hayfever and allergy separately.

For eye symptoms, use eye drops (those containing antazoline or naphazoline). For nasal symptoms, use nasal sprays (such as beclomethasone, budesonide or fluticasone).

If needed, you may use ‘sedating’ antihistamines like chlorpheniramine, cyprohetadine, dexchlorpheniramine, doxylamine or pheniramine. If you are using them for a long period, you will need to monitor your baby for symptoms such as drowsiness and prolonged sleep.

Less-sedating antihistamines such as cetirizine or fexofenadine are not recommended due to the lack of safety information. If you need a less-sedating antihistamine, consider loratadine or desloratadine, as there is more experience with their use.

HAha sorry i cut and pasted that!
Basically if your having 1 or 2 doses of sedating antihistamines like chlorpheniramine, the amount that passes is unlikey to make baby drowsy, its not for long term use.

The unsedating antihistamines like loratadine should be ok.

The general advice is take only if the symptoms are unbearable, depends how bad your hayfever is... if you can get away with nasal sprays etc than great.
