Chocolate - waste of money?? Are you mad woman??

Agree Easter Eggs are real rip off but got cheap ones in Morrisons last week so bought a load. The children make chocolate nests for the family but we don't really make a big deal of the day. As we have family in Newcastle and Suffolk we use the long weekend as a chance to catch up with them but not to actually celebrate Easter.

I celebrate Greek Easter which is normally a week later than your Easter but this year its the same. We fast for a week before good friday, go church thursday morning and over weekend then have a fab meal together on the sunday. Not that all the family are getting this year so may just be us

we dont celebrate easter, i've asked Grandparents not to buy Liv any eggs as we dont actually let her eat them so its a waste, or we end up eating them which isn't good!

When she is a bit older we might do a little egg hunt, but whilst she doesn't understand whats going on im going to make the most of it and do nothing!

We kind of use it as another excuse to get together after Christmas, bit naughty really though I guess. But we buy each other eggs and my mum does a roast dinner for all of us and we spend the day together. Might do a little Easter egg hunt for Finlay this year too Xx

I have to have at least one chocolate egg. I started making my own a few years ago when I found some nice egg moulds, just as well 'cause they don't do eggs over here. Well they do but they are the normal hard boiled kind. They boil them up with either food colouring or things like onion skins to colour them and add designs with flours and leaves and stuff. There is still chocolate too - bunnies and the like and mini chocolate eggs. They are big into doing up baskets so atm every shop is selling fake grass stuff to put in the baskets, all sorts of felt easter decorations and stuff like that.

When I'm at home there's the whole traditional mass etc. Dinner has to be a nice roast leg of lamb and there has to be Easter eggs.

When here (which is most years) we go to the in-laws and everyone basically sits down to a meal of hard boild eggs. All very pretty (unitl you eat them ofc) but I can't say it's my thing especially as I don't really like eggs. I do make sure there is plenty of chocolate though.
