Hi All
I just wandered if someone could help, we took our lo (only 18months) to a fireworks display, she didn't like it so we left fairly quickly, the problem is now in the evening she gets really scared of the dark and won't eat her tea in her highchair (we have double doors leading to the garden and all she can see is the lights of houses in the background) and just starts to scream, iv'e tried feeding her in different rooms but this still does not work, she just cries all the time and says 'dont like'. I really don't know what to do and have i scarred her for life, i feel so guilty, i'm assuming its because of the fireworks as it only started after we had taken her there Can anyone help, i feel so bad Priti xx |

Hi not really sure wat to suggest but just to say it may not be the fireworks. The reason i say i i have always been terrified of bangs and still am. Silly i know. I dont know if it makes any sense or relevance but it never bothered me as soon as i was away from the noise. I was so bad my auntie used to have to lock my uncle in a cupboard because he was too loud and made me cry. Can you make a story behind the fireworks or is she a little young.?
