Default Mum's of Reflux babies - when did you stop winding?

I ask because I still have to wind Finlay half way through his bottle (much to his disgust!!) as otherwise he is mega sick if I don't, if I do, he isn't really sick anymore. I feel like I'm a crazy lady for still doing it at 10 months old. When did you stop winding, not just mum's of refluxy babies but all mum's. Do you think I should just stop doing it and see if he's ok without it?

We stopped winding once he was well established on solids so around 6 and a half to 7 months I'd say. We were really apprehensive about it as he'd been collicky when he was small and we'd tried to stop using Infacol many times without success so it was a relief when he didn't need it anymore!

He has now inherited his mothers burping skills........hurrah!

xxxxxxxx

I havent winded nasir for a while now and he is 5 and half months. The reason being he never got any up when i winded then burped himself when he was on his belly or sat up alittle later. He is a sicky baby but winding never made a difference. But then again i think i sometimes wind him without realising.

I still wind Oliver, he's 8 mos & I think i'll be like you Claire still winding him when he's approaching one as he has reflux. It has been particularly bad the past few nights & I even had him to the dr's today and he has lost 3oz - not through not eating but he has been spitting up so much : (

Imogen still needs the occaisional winding! She was really bad with it though, it really only got better when she was properly on solids and not having regular bottles! Little madam!

I only wind thomas after his bedtime bottle as if he has wind in his tummy he finds it difficult to sleep. I used to have to wind him after all solids and everything or otherwise he's throw everything back and it was a nightmare, but i stopped doing this about 2 months ago ish, and he's been fine since then.
xx

About 9 months for Lauren, when she started doing it herself. On the very odd occassion when she has gulped her milk down and you can hear she has trapped wind and just know her reflux was going to be problem if you didn't help her a little.
