Question Metanuim advice please!

Hi all,
Last friday night, Thomas developed really bad nappy rash which came out of no where all of a sudden. Ive always used vaseline as a barrier cream and he's never ever had nappy rash before, so was really shocked when i opened his nappy!
On saturday i bought some metanium and have been applying it and its cleared it up really quickly.
Question is: Do all you mummy's who use metanium, use it as a barrier cream all the time at every nappy change, or do you just use it for when they develop nappy rash? Im unsure as to whether to go back to vaseline, but i havent had this problem before so maybe am thinking its just a one off reaction to a really bad poo?!!
xx

Alex has a very severe nappy rash at the mo which is breaking my heart. He is in tears constantly and cant sit down. He cant sleep as it even hurts then. I am using a nappy cream cant remember the name it begins with B! It is slowly clearing it up.

Think thats bepanthen? i was going to get that but chose the metanium. Its worked wonders maybe try that instead? Tom's was like alexs nappy rash - he wouldnt sit down and was rolling around the floor screaming it was horrible, but now its completely gone its a miracle!

Thanks, I thought it would be better if i just use it when needed and carry on using vaseline. Just wondered what everyone else did.

We only use it when Ethan has a rash too. We've never used a barrier cream and he rarely gets nappy rash.
