When I have loads over, I ask them to sometimes bring linen/towels/pillows (depending what I am missing-and I have loads of linen) Also the plus on that is when they are gone, you have less stuff to wash.

I would either go with cereal and milk for breakfast, or bagels with lox, cream cheese, some hard boiled eggs or egg salad, or let everyone make their own eggs. Some salad and that's it.

Plates-go with nice plastic disposable plates (less time washing up and more time with friends)

Also depending on what your financial situation is like and what kind of financial strain it is feeding the whole lot for all that-I would not hesitate to have each couple bring something. One can bring paper goods, one can bring drinks, one can bring rolls for the barbeque, one can bring relishes...

Make a good list and delegate! That's my secret!

Bubba your sooo right about the men an meat! If I said to OH I was going to provide the men with pain un chocolat he'd think I'd gone doolally!! Those geordie men like their meat!!

The plate of bacon an rolls is a fab idea an the paper plates, they'll be good for the BBQ food too.

Cool, thanks a lot ladies, feel more relaxed about it now an looking forward to it, just hope the weather is decent! xxxx

Aw sounds fab hun! I love having loads of people over to stay!

Must do it again soon

I was gonna say go with the easy option of cossiants or brioche, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses and meats - ham, salamis etc.

But knowing these 'Geordie' men like I do! (OH is a geordie ) They do like there fry ups. So how bout getting a load of pre-cut baps and setting them out, doing a load of sauages in the oven (so you are not standing over the cooker) and just put everything out onto plates then people can help themselves and make there own sausages sandwich!

Doing the whole fry-up for a load of people is a nightmare, I did a huge Ulster fry for us all the first year we went to CP and it was awful, didnt offer to do it again this year LOL
