Nintendo wii

Has anyone got one?

My OH has wanted one for ages but I wouldn't let him as we have a PS3. We mainly use the PS3 as a dvd player as it plays blue-ray but I keep hearing about how good the games are for the wii. ie the sports games etc.

So I thought I'd treat OH an get him a wii for fathers day, I've just started looking an I'm super confussed I don't know weather to just get the console as there are lots of packages. Do I need the wii fit to play games like tennis, bowling etc?? Help!!

we got one last year, TBH i think its over hyped but everyone else enjoys it
The tennis and bowls (and baseball, boxing etc) comes with the console (it used to anyway)
the wii fit is a different package, comes with a board and CD

we had one last year (one of OH's 5min wonders!!) i found it loads of fun, but OH didn't really, though think that was coz i used to spank him at the games LOL

the wii fit is just an extra you can buy for the wii so you can use it to get/keep fit, you don't need it for games like tennis or anything sweetie

I love the wii me and Katlin get lots of enjoyment out of it on rainy days and i prefer it to other consoles where you are sitting down.

our wii never gets used. can count on one hand how many times we've used it and we've had it about a year. It is fun but I find the novelty wears off very quickly, plus I don't really get time to play it anyway.

This is like our ps3, we have had it almost a year an I've never played a game on it, just glad its getting used as a dvd/music player!

OH got me one for xmas, we used it constantly to start with but the novelty has worn off a bit now, Still think its great though compared to other consoles, I would love to get wii fit! x

We have one and its great! I like the Wii Fit thing but unless you get a great deal I would just leave it so you can get it as a pressie at a later stage if you get into the Wii!

The Sports one that comes as standard with tennis and bowling is pretty good. Sonic and Mario at the Olympics is pretty good fun. Wii Play isnt bad either: you get a controller with it and the games on it are designed to show you how to use it: the Find Mii (bit like Wheres Wally type of thing) is good fun: Rhys enjoys it.

The Fit one is good crack esp if theres a few playing but it does add an extra cost to the initial purchase...
