I can't believe I only discovered this today.
I knew we made our own stock because other stocks have salt in, but I didn't realise HOW MUCH!
I just made a large pot of soup, and didn't season it, but popped in a couple of stock cubes instead.

I think it's shocking. On the box it said 0.9g per 100ml. It only slowly dawned on me that you have to make up 450ml to use it properly, thus making it 4.05g per cube. I have added 8.1g of salt to my kids' soup!!! Ok, so there's easily about 14 portions or so in the pot, but I'm still hacked off.
