I had problems breastfeeding. My baby was never satisfied. She seemed to be constantly feeding and I could never express anything not even a drop. I lost more than half a stone in weight over 5 months breastfeeding (from my pre-pregnancy weight). I spoke to a lactation consultant and they said to increase my calories. I did this several times but my baby was still never satisfied. I ate three good meals a day (most days) and was always snacking in between too. I drank as much as I could physically fit in with all the food I was eating (at least 2 litres a day).

What more could I have done or was she just a very hungry baby? It was only weaning her at 5 months old that stopped her constant demand for milk. She's my first so I don't know how normal her demand was but from other people's reactions she was feeding more than normal or at least what they considered normal anyway.

Thanks in advance
