Our collection is easily into the hundreds and would be difficult to count because they are all over the house. I really believe that you can't have too many books. I plan to keep some for my grand kids (my parents had kept a bunch of our books from the time we were kids- my sis and I split them up and our kids now read our old books
). The rest (that aren't destroyed) will be donated. Every child deserves books to read.
