2 Month Baby - Movement

• At around 6 weeks your baby will smile properly for the first time. His eyes will light up as he smiles and if you smile back he will respond with a big smile.

• Your baby’s neck muscles will have gained strength and he will be able to hold his head up for short periods.

• Baby’s movements will become less automatic and jerky and more controlled and he may try and swipe at a toy.

• Early reflexes (Moro and grasp reflexes are fading).
