2 month baby - Hand Eye Coordination

• A baby’s sight is still nowhere as good as an adult’s – distant objects and people will still be quite blurry. This is why babies prefer to look at bold contrasting patterns.

• May try to take a swipe at a toy, which is being held out to her but although she has more control over her arms, she will probably miss because the ability to judge the distance between her hand and an object is quite poor.

• Your baby likes to move her head and eyes around to follow you and can track a slowly moving object from about 6 weeks.

• Hand control begins, will close his fingers around a small object like a rattle placed in his palm and move the object to his face.
