1 Month Baby - Movement

• Your baby can lift her head briefly a couple of inches when on her stomach lying on a flat surface.

• She will respond to your voice by turning her head and moving her eyes.

• She begins to smile although this is a muscular response rather than a social smile, the corners of her mouth will turn up but the smile is not yet reflected in her eyes. You will need to wait until your baby is about 6 weeks old for her first proper smile where her whole face lights up.
