8 Months Old Babies - Your baby may be

MASTERED SKILLS - most babies can:
• Sit unsupported with her legs out in front of her and can lean forwards and sideways without toppling over
• Say 'mama' and 'da-da' but may not know what the words mean.

EMERGING SKILLS - may be able to:
• Stand holding on to someone or something
• Bottom shuffle
• Start crawling
• Point to things that she wants with her index finger.

ADVANCED SKILLS - a few babies can:
• Cruise around furniture while holding on
• Pull up to a standing position from sitting
• Pick up a small object with the pincer-grip using thumb and first or second finger.
