Chirstmas Treat - Mini Christmas Crackers


A nice way to make mini swiss rolls into a Christmas treat.

Ingredients

6 Mini Jam Swiss Rolls (not coated with chocolate)
250g white marzipan
green and red edible food colouring
 

Method:

Divide the marzipan in half and colour one half red and the other half green. Divide each colour into three and roll out each piece until fairly thin (approx. 2mm) on a clean work surface dusted with icing sugar and trim into rectangles approximately 16cm by 10 cm.

Wrap the marzipan around the mini Swiss rolls and pinch in at the ends to make a Christmas Cracker shape. 

Cut small star shapes from the off cuts of the marzipan and decorate the green crackers with red stars and the red crackers with green stars. 

Simply brush a little water onto the underside of the marzipan stars to stick them onto the crackers
