Baby Cereal


This baby cereal makes a delicious and nutritious breakfast. It’s a good idea to keep some cubes of apple and pear puree in the freezer so that all you need to do is defrost it and mix it with the muesli in the morning.

You can vary this baby cereal recipe by using chopped ready to eat dried apricots instead of the raisins and a fresh ripe pear blended together with a tablespoon of the pear concentrate.

 

Ingredients

4 tbsp rolled oats
2 tbsp raisins
6 tbsp milk

1 small eating apple (approx 130g) peeled, cored and chopped)
1 small ripe pear, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tbsp Annabel Karmel’s Pear Concentrate

 

Method:

Simply soak the oats overnight to make this delicious breakfast…

It’s a good idea to keep portions of apple and pear puree in the freezer to mix with the muesli.

Soak the oats in milk overnight or for at least a couple of hours. Meanwhile Put the chopped apple and pear in a saucepan together with the pear concentrate cover and cook for 10 minutes over a low heat. Remove from the heat and mash with a fork.

In the morning, stir the cooked apple and pear together in with the baby cereal.
