Learning Toys For One Year Old

During this period, freedom to move and explore is more important than specific toys so try to find a safe and uncluttered area for your baby to play.

Push-Along Toys - These range from the traditional sturdy wooden trolley with colourful bricks to an electronic activity walker. Make sure that it has a wide base so it won’t topple over easily.

Posting Boxes and Shape Sorters - Choose a simple one to begin with a few basic shapes and colour coding.

Musical Instrument Toys - Mini keyboards, trumpet, xylophone, maracas are great learning toys for one year old

Balls or anything that rolls along - Toy cars, trains – especially if they make a noise.

Sit and Ride Toys - Look for a low seat height so your baby’s feet can rest on the floor.

Chunky wax crayons - By the time your child is one year old he may be able to scribble with crayons.
