It's a good idea to taste the fruit yourself before giving it to your baby to make sure that it is sweet and ripe.

Fruit Nutrition Your baby should now be able to eat all fruits. Take care to remove stones before giving fruit to your baby and do not give whole grapes to young babies as they may choke on them. Different fruits contain different vitamins so it is important to include as much variety as possible. Citrus and berry fruits provide a good source of vitamin C. Orange juice combines well with carrots, fish, liver and other fruits. Remove the pith and seeds from citrus fruits. To begin with use berries in small quantities as they can be indigestible. Combine them with other fruits like apples, banana, pear or peach. Some babies can have a reaction to berry or citrus fruits so watch carefully. Vitamin C boosts iron absorption so it’s important to include vitamin C-rich fruits and vegetables in your baby’s diet. Its good to give cereal with diluted orange juice in the morning to help as this will help increase the amount of iron your baby absorbs from the cereal. For breakfast mix fruit with yoghurt, porridge or baby rice. I like to use apple with savory foods like chicken or meat as it brings out a slightly sweet flavour which appeals to babies and young children. Dried fruits like apricots or apple rings make good finger food.
