A selection of lovely feedback from Annabel Karmel Mums
“I have a 16 month old daughter. On a recent shopping trip to Sainsburys, I bought 3 ready meals from the Annabel Karmel range, the lasagne in question on Panorama, being one of them. My daughter is a fussy eater, I gave her the Cod and Salmon in cheese sauce with rice last night. As she is so young, I was able to split the meal into 2 servings, this is ideal as it lasts that much longer, she loved every last bit of it, I was tempted to warm up the other half, but thought better of it. I was so relieved that she ate all of her dinner.
Might I also add that I did infact read the ingredients in the supermarket, and did calculate that she would only eat half a pack in one sitting (as Annabel suggested on the programme), perhaps the BBC should give the public more credit, maybe most mom's would carry around the relevant information regarding the welfare of their childrens nutrition, around in their head.
I felt very disappointed for Annabel, I have read her story and have bought her books during the weaning of my daughter, I was so excited to see her range on sale at Sainsburys, I think she is credit to mom's out there and her books are invaluable. As I am a single mom at work, I would rather spend quality time with my daughter in the evening after picking her up from Nursery, than spending the time in the kitchen. The meals are a god send!
The nutritionist featured in Panorama was uncomplimentary about almost everything on the programme, perhaps the BBC should have obtained a range of comments before airing such awful publicity about Annabel Karmel, I felt she was targeted and made the focus of a debate over the nutrition of children, which I hasten to add, she successfully provides sound information for. The public are sensation seekers, looking for someone to blame and I felt that Panorama gave them an unfair disadvantage over Annabel Karmel, although she was allowed to giver her opion, the presenter had a counter argument for everything she said and made it difficult for her to defend herself.
I hope she doesnt lose support, I thought the programme was totally biased, I was incredibly surprised that the BBC would air such a one sided programme. My support still lies with Annabel, I think she is doing a great job and so does my daughter, who's opion counts more at the end of the day as she is the target market.“

“I just wanted to say that I thought you were thoroughly impressive on panorama especially with an overly agressive journalist. She had picked an brilliant topic and did an appalling job. As a mum of two your books and recipes have been invaluable to me and to this day I recommend all of them to any new mother I talk to. I am far less impressed by the journalistic skills of panorama who clearly wanted to gun for someone. Your ready meals are fantastic and a massive help to any working mum running late.“
“I watched the panorama interview last night with Annabel Karmel and would offer my support to Annabel Karmel. I have bought the eat fussy lasagne for my daughter, having read the nutritional contents, knowing that my daughter of 15 months at the time was recommended 1 to 2g salt and felt that as a main meal, on a day where the rest of salt content in her diet had been low, that 1g of salt was not an excessive amount given the portion she would eat. I would offer my support to your claims as to the quantity of the portion toddlers would eat. I serve my daughter half a portion, which suits her appetite very well. I feel that many Mums who buy Annabel Karmels ready meals do so in the full knowledge and understanding of the nutritional value of the meal. Like many Mums I have been controlling my daughters salt intake since weaning, and have been very aware of the recommended daily allowances.”
“Thank you so much for all your fantastic recipes, i always find something new and nutritious on your site for the whole family. Your sweet and sour chicken is now a great favourite with my husband and i dare not make your chocolate fridge cake too often as it is gobbled up in no time!“

“I would just like to say a HUGE thanks. Your cook books are my bibles. My son is now 14months old and thanks to your recipes eats just about anything. He has such a wide variety of foods in his diet, my friends cant belive he loves things like spinach, broccoli, salmon, garlic etc. This site also rocks as it gives me further recipes which maybe arent in my two cooks books.“

“Thank you SO much for bringing out a delicious, healthy range of food for toddlers. They deserve tasty dinners as much as we do, and I can't stop raving to my friends about your great products. It is about time people in the business treated our kids with the respect they deserve, you have found a loyal fan in me, and I do hope you will be extending your range in the near future, so we can all experiment with more tasty, healthy meals that don't cost a bomb.“
Kind regards, Ruth Davidson.
